“Our creative inspiration for Almarai’s ice cream range draws from the joy of everyday indulgence and the power of the senses. Each design is carefully crafted to reflect the unique qualities of the products, differentiating flavours through distinctive colours, textures and patterns that tell the story of their individual character. Since its launch at the beginning of 2024 Almarai Ice Cream continues to sell out in stores, with some retailers even limiting quantities per customer.”

Everyday indulgence with approachability.

As market leaders within the dairy category, they wanted to expand their offering and develop a best-in-class ice cream range, to capture the interests of young adults and families within Saudi Arabia and surrounding Gulf countries.

Our brief was to create a range identity and design system for Almarai’s new indulgent ice cream range, clearly setting them apart from competitors, and positioning them as the premium player within the ice cream category.

To do this, we created bespoke patterns for each product range reflecting the sensorial consumption experience, whilst signalling the premium quality of the product through building taste, indulgence and luxury cues into the typeface, pack and 360 design system.
