THE STARS OF NEWCASTLE

In recent years the beer category has rapidly expanded with craft beer pushing the established brands to adapt to survive. Newcastle Brown Ale approached us to reinvigorate their brand through a limited edition packaging design celebrating their Newcastle heritage.

Drawing on the rich history and brewing legacy of the city, we created a collectable set of Newcastle icons. From St. James’ Park, the home of the Magpies, to the historic Tyne Bridge, the Newcastle Brown Ale star is used to celebrate these cultural mainstays of the city.

The design was created to attract a younger, beer-curious audience, without alienating their existing consumers. This has been done by maintaining the strength of the brand mark, but allowing it to flex and interact with the illustrations.
